Established in January of 2015, Colorado Mountain Doulas Agency launched as the very first birth and postpartum agency, based in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO.

We have had the opportunity to serve many families in the Pikes Peak and Eastern Plains region in the last year and look forward to continuing this service for many years to come.

As we move forward into our second year, the CMD team is expanding with new professional members and new and exciting services to support local families.

As part of that growth, we have brought in a new co-owner!

Jessica Strickland, has been part of the CMD team from the very beginning, coming on as a postpartum doula and marketing manager just before our official launch last year.

Jessica is an experienced doula, who began supporting clients in her home town of Jeffersonville, IN (Louisville, KY) over 5 years ago. Her experience as both a birth and postpartum doula as well as an extensive background in events and marketing in the non-profit sector makes her the perfect person to step up and help take Colorado Mountain Doulas Agency to the next level of service and excellence for our clients. Her gentle nature and calm demeanor make every family feel well taken care of during their birthing year. Not only does she provide the ultimate in nojudgmental support to her clients, she is also a former competitive gymnast, played tennis at Northern Kentucky University and currently practices Capoeira and silks! Jenn
A passion for helping families to make educated decisions about their families and their birth choices has lead Jenn to become a great source of information for many across the country. She has been educating families on their choices and guiding them to find their own voice in maternity care since 2002.

Jenn is a certified Labor Doula, beginning her studies with CAPPA, taking many additional trainings along the way and is recertifying with ProDoula in 2015. She is also a trained childbirth educator and Postpartum Doula teaching childbirth preparation classes, and also creating her own curriculum for a pre and early pregnancy workshop focused on families who are just beginning to plan for a family, into the 2nd trimester.

Today Jenn is the Co-owner of Colorado Mountain Doulas LLC, providing the community with much needed education, local resources, sibling, postpartum, and labor Doula services.

When she is not guiding families through their birthing year, Jenn is living in Black Forest, CO with her husband and two children on their hobby farm.
